[>] Work in Poland
Programme (January 2007- June 2009)
The goal of the ‘Work in Poland’ programme is to reinforce the
skills and effectiveness of non-governmental organisations
providing services for the labour market, particularly in the use
of information technology. The ‘Work in Poland’ programme is
carried out by the Foundation for Social and Economic Initiatives
(FISE), under the auspices of the Polish-American Freedom
Foundation.
[>] FoSME Project –
Fostering Job Creation in Small and Medium Enterprises in Poland
and Romania (April 2008-February 2009)
FoSME Project is carried out in an international partnership
(France, Sweden, Romania, Poland). Its objective is to identify
problems and barriers facing small and medium entrepreneurs in
Polish and Romanian cities where there has been undertaken (or is
planned in near future) restructurisation of big industrial
enterprises (e.g. steelworks combines). In effect, using
experiences of French and Swedish partners, action plans for chosen
areas are going to be developed.
[>] Project „My Polis – Interactive monitoring system of
local partnership and development of active local communities”
(June 2008-April 2011)
This project was prepared by Klon/Jawor Association in partnership
with the Institute of Sociology at Warsaw University, Department of
Public Benefit of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and
Foundation for Social and Economic Initiatives. Its main objective
is to strengthen civic participation in governance on local level,
with a special emphasis on developing collaboration between the
NGOs and units of the local government administration.
[>] Standing Conference on the Social Economy
(SKES)
SKES, which secretariat is managed by FISE, is a common, wide
platform bridging activities of various Polish social economy
bodies. It is a place for exchanging ideas, meetings and also a
place for common discussion on issues concerning Polish social
economy sector.
